Women's Safety Conference
๐ Bengaluru, India
Azaad!
The world asks women to be careful.
This room helps them be prepared.
Women are constantly given advice on how to stay safe.
Don't go there. Don't wear that. Don't travel alone.
But what if we made room for a different conversation?
One that focuses on practical skills, knowing our rights, digital safety, self-defence, and looking out for one another. This conference is about moving beyond warnings and towards knowledge, confidence, and action.

Frequently asked questions
1. Who can attend the Women's Safety Conference?
The conference is open to women aged 18 and above. Whether you're a student, working professional, entrepreneur, parent, or simply someone who wants to feel more prepared in everyday life, there's something here for you. You don't need any prior knowledge of safety or self-defense to participate.
2. Is this conference only for women who have experienced unsafe situations?
Absolutely not. Safety is relevant to every woman. This conference is about building awareness, confidence, practical skills, and readiness before you need them.
3. Will I be expected to share personal experiences?
Not at all. Some conversations may touch on sensitive subjects, but sharing personal experiences is always your choice. You can participate at a level that feels comfortable for you.
4. Is the registration for both days?
Yes! Your registration covers both days, Saturday, January 30, and Sunday, January 31, 2027. We recommend attending both days to get the complete experience and make the most of the conversations, learning, and hands-on sessions.
5. How many people will be attending?
We're keeping this gathering intentionally small, with just 35โ40 participants in the room. This gives everyone more space to ask questions, connect with other women, learn from the speakers, and actively participate in the sessions, especially the hands-on self-defense workshop. We want you to leave feeling involved, not like you've just attended another conference.
6. What should I wear for the self-defense session?
Leave the gym clothes at home! The idea is to learn how to respond to danger in the clothes you actually wear in everyday life. Think trousers, dresses, sarees, or even heels. The session is designed to help you explore practical ways to protect yourself in real-world situations, not just in workout gear. Wear something you're comfortable moving in, and come ready to participate.

Why We're Bringing This Together
Priyanka Shetty (She/Her)
Honestly, we're tired. Tired of the headlines, tired of the conversations that begin with outrage and end without change, and tired of seeing women being told to be careful as if the responsibility for their safety rests entirely on them.
Sometimes, it feels like we're speaking, but nobody is really listening.
But we don't want to keep waiting.
We believe women deserve to move through the world with greater confidence, knowledge, and choice.
That's why we're bringing women together for the Women's Safety Conference.
It's about reclaiming some of the power that comes from knowing what to do, where to turn, and how to act. Because knowledge is power. And access to that knowledge should never be a privilege.
This is our space to learn, to question, to prepare, and to reclaim. And we'd love for you to be part of it.
See you in Bengaluru.
With purpose,
Priyanka & Sonali
